The author create a vampire family that you will like. I love Derek & Sheree, including his mom. I had been reading books from this author from 2009 when I read After twilight and became a fan of the author. If you like romance, vampires, paranormal and family relationship, this is your book. Another great book from Amanda Ashley. A lot of description but not too much. Story about vampire and human girl love story. A real page turner

Could not put this down. I'm quietly living vicariously the life of secret observer of these preternatural beings and loving every word Amanda has written.
I like the sexual tension. I like the family sticking together. What I didn't like is she wants a vampire then gets one and is not so sure. It was kind of childish. She let him drink from her all the time but wouldn't commit.
Amanda, you have done it again. The only thing better was if Derek could have been triplets... As Mara's son, I expected full on alpha vampire but then realized Sheree could not have taken that. She may have dreamed of them and just knew they existed so had to use her useless life to find one did not surprise me. Well, she must have something as Derek fell right in love with her and after going back and forth with it she finally accepted him and married him. Or so we thought...the last little bit of the book had me wanting to stake her myself. First you say you do...and then you don't; and then you say you will...and then you won't - undecided is understated. I was hoping honestly that with Derek's gene she might get pregnant while she was human and that was the reason she couldn't vape...oh well. I enjoyed seeing the "dear old ladies once again" because their master saw some redemption in them or he would not have made the effort and I always loved his story.

Amanda, I cannot wait to see what you give us next...I really do want to know what sneaky little problem Sheree's mother has towards Derek - it has to be something. And maybe Derek and Sheree will adopt...the Queen of the Vampires and her yummy husband would make such great grandparents. Anyway, keep them coming and I will keep on reading them - you are the greatest and I am your biggest fan.
