These books took me outside my comfort zone and I have a new respect for the sci-fi and fantasy genre. Accinni is a very adept writer and had me engaged just pages into the first book. I became invested in characters such as Netty, Baby and Echo. I also appreciated that a great deal of the story moved to the West cost of FL, as that is where I am located and have been to many of places in her setting. Yes, there is violence but it was forewarned in numerous places and I felt that it brought depth to the story, where glossing over such things would have taken away from it. I can't wait for the next series to see what other twists and turns can be taken with this material!Tags : Alien Species Intervention: Books 1-3: An Alien Apocalyptic Saga (Species Intervention #6609 Book 1) - Kindle edition by J.K. Alien Species Intervention Books 13 An Alien Apocalyptic Saga Species Intervention #6609 Book 1 eBook JK Accinni Reviews
I’ve read many books in my life and continue regular reading and can honestly say I’ve never come across a story quite like this one! The first book is set in the early twentieth century and its inherent societal violence and segregation, while the second and third take place in a believable and frightening dystopian near future. The storyline twists and turns and weaves in hidden connections between the believable cast of characters, connections that later become clear. The writing is clear, fast-moving and grammatically, as close to perfect as possible. After completing this collection I was hooked on the story and immediately purchased the next volume and intend to purchase the final volumes as well. Be forewarned, though; K Accinni has written a gripping, compelling story that has enough mystery that you’ll want to read the entire series. Rather than give away any spoilers, I’ll just say this book is hard to put down and is some of the best writing I’ve seen among the many books I’ve read and it definitely deserves a five stars!
I'm so happy to have found this series. The magpies around the water cooler passed this gem on to me. I can see why, I am already on the 5th book and all I can say is O-M-G!! Have your handkerchief ready!
But first the anthology which was FREE!!!!!!! Always a good start with me. I was enchanted from the moment Netty walked into Baby's cave. I loved the writing skill and the original story. So much today is ripped off from somewhere. When I get my hands on something original and emotional I am in heaven.
Echo started the meat of the story with Baby being the prequel. (I guessed that meant we would be hearing from Netty and crew again. Good thing or I would be chipped!) In Echo we meet a multi racial family with many hardships. Their lives turn as Echo is discovered. (Echo is Baby's lost offspring) We also meet a very special doggie, Barney who becomes the passion (platonic) of Echo's life.
In book three enter Netty with her mission to use Abby, causing a split in her budding romance with Jose. There is a sense of tragedy, urgency, horror, and it's clearly a time for our heroes to grow up. But how in the world does one accomplish that while bodies are changing, wings are appearing, tails are growing and the bombs are on their way??
A skillful series for the dystopian and wildlife nuts. I wish I could give it a 10!
This is a memorable saga that is unique, thrilling, unpredictable, and emotive with vivid characters. The characters are so life like that I absolutely love some of them while I bitterly despise others a testament to the creativity of the author. Other reviewers have outlined the plot. I wish to say that J.K. Accinni is a master storyteller (Hollywood cannot hold a candle to her!) with an ingenious prose. Her amazing plot had me wanting to hurry up to the next event, but her writing made me slow down to relish the way she beautifully structured her sentences. This saga is listed under science fiction, but it is also romance, period, mystery, political thriller and futuristic. Enthralling!
Finally, as an artist, I must say… it takes courage to put pen to paper and I commend Accinni for writing with conviction. I feel that the political stance and the ugliness of the human condition, though controversial to some, aptly adds to the dystopian plot. In a world where in some places expression is not a choice we must applaud those that do bravely write. If you relish a brilliantly written saga with conviction, a unique plot, with extraordinary characters read Accinni’s Alien Species Intervention!
Alien Species Intervention Books 1-3 (Species Intervention #6609) by J.K. Accinni is one of the best series I have read in a long while! Thank you so much to the author for her wonderful books. I am absolutely hooked and can not wait to read more!
Totally invested with every single character, whether they are good or bad, the pages turn themselves. J.K. Accinni is a master storyteller and her world with Baby and Echo are wonderful. This storyline is going to get even better and the world had better be prepared. Oh too late!
Creative and absorbing, I could picture many scenes, from Echo riding on the family pet to the long alien fingers that stroke the dogs fur. To include saving many of our endangered species was an added treat. I cannot wait to see how it all turns out. Mankind should Beware!
I think for a trilogy there should be more stars given. I would like to give 15 Golden Stars for this awesome read! Highly recommended and I am off to read Hive which I am sure will be highly gripping and another 5 stars for this Author.
I'm a big fan of science fiction, especially when it involves the subject of aliens. What I loved about this trilogy was the author's ability to infuse some controversial elements into her story. She created some lovable and imaginative alien creatures like Baby. The human characters were also very real---their plight for survival is both endearing and heart-breaking.
This trilogy is just the beginning of the Species Intervention series so be prepared for more books. Overall, J.K. Accinni crafts creative and engaging stories. Based on this trilogy, I'm excited to read the next book.
