***5 ‘Even Satan’s Sweatin’ From the Heat Between You Two’ Stars***

Confession: There was that moment where I didn’t know if I wanted to read this book.

Not because I wasn’t curious as to what else was in store for Jaymerson and Hunter, because I so was, but I didn’t know if I could deal with the emotional turmoil I KNEW was coming because, let’s be real, when it’s a Duet you KNOW more things will happen.

And good l$%d did things happen.

The angst happened. The growling happened. The heavy sighs happened.

And yet…

And yet I couldn’t put the book down. I can’t even say that I #multitasked because that is just being way to generous. I kept turning the pages to see what could possibly happen next and basically devoured this baby in, oh a couple of hours?? But it was all worth it. The angst, the feels. Everything to get to that ending.

I adored Jaymerson in this one. Seeing her grow and truly start to see her own value was an amazing thing. She is still a girl who cares deeply and is someone who likes to please people, but she also sticks up for herself more and gives as good as she gets. She still has some very teenage moments and trips up at times, but I loved watching her learn from it all and come out stronger in the end.

Then there is Hunter. I honestly adored Hunter in Shattered Love after getting to see beneath all the armor and in this one, he still has an extremely generous heart and is willing to go the distance for those he calls his own...but. Unfortunately there is a “But” here because Hunter tried my patience in this one with his position on some things and how he couldn’t see beyond his nose. Thankfully, things work out and I still adored him in the end.

As for their journey to their HEA. OMG these two. The push/pull is real. The angst is real. But, regardless of how much my eyes ended up hurting from all the rolling, it was something they both needed to go through. Hunter and Jayme’s connection was intense, and regardless of the h$%l they had already been through, were still young and needed to grow into their own skins before they could even attempt to be together. It was painful at times, but so worth it in the end.

Broken Love totally sucked me in. I mean to the point where I had to force myself to attempt to #multitask aka Work because I just couldn’t stop reading. The need to know what was going to happen next was oh so strong. And as for the supporting cast of characters...I loved Dougie, Grandma Penny and Jones, but hanging out with Stevie was everything and I cannot wait to get my hands on her story!

There are no words that can express how phenomenal this book is. Stacey Marie Brown packs so much emotion into her writing. At times, I found it hard to continue reading yet I didn't want to stop. The story of Jaymerson and Hunter is so heart wrenching. Having finished this book and knowing where their story leads, I will now have to go back and reread both books and take in all the details that I may have missed while overcome with emotions. Well done Stacey Marie Brown!!
Stacey Marie Brown did it again. I should know better than to start reading one of her books during the week. I couldn't put it down and had to survived on nothing but caffeine for the day. I love the characters in this book, Stacey does such a good job building her characters and really giving you a chance to get to know them, its easy to forget this isn't a real story. What I especially loved from this story was that Jayme didn't follow Hunter blindly. And found herself in Italy. Although it was a tiny bit predictable I still felt like a giddy school girl at the end. I was excited for the characters and their futures. I can't wait to read Stevies story!!!
Omg this book was so amazing! Just like the first book it takes you through a roller coaster ride of emotions (so make sure to have a box of tissues with you because you WILL need them). Jamerson and Hunter have both went through so much and to see how in the end they realize that the can’t live without the other absolutely warmed my heart. I’m so glad they finally got there happy ending!! Now I need to know more about Stevie and Chris!!!!!
Another great book by Stacey! This book was a roller-coaster of emotions... and while Jaymerson and Hunter's relationship can be very VERY frustrating, the story was so well written that it drew you in to a captivating conclusion. With the ending of the last book I was unsure what sort of emotional distress that Stacey was planning on putting us through with this one. This book had just the right amount of heartbreak and romance that kept you wanting more.... and also making you want to occasionally slap the characters and ask what the hell they are doing. I absolutely love this series and I am hoping that we will get a glimpse of Jaymerson and Hunter in the next installment with Stevie's story.... really wanting her to get her happy ending as well!!
I have to say,it doesn't matter where you start with any of Stacey's stories/ series,you are bound to fall in love with her characters, their stories and Stacey herself!

This was one roller coaster of a ride from the first chapter to the last! Will they - jaymerson & Hubter - make it? Will they go their separate ways, her back to Europe, him stick in their small town? What's the deal with all these attitudes [been stuck in a bubble yourself and need to get out]? And so much more to what goes on in these books!!!

I still think there need to be official Stacey Marie Brown tissue packs or stress balls that come with each book. This was an intense emotional story. If you've ever been in those shoes of debating between what others expect of you and chasing your dreams, it's really going to hit. Jaymerson and Hunter went through so much in book 1 and it just continues; life isn't easy but they push on and I rooted for them throughout all the pain and suffering that I felt in my heart as much as they did. I read the whole thing on one plane ride because I was so invested. And I can't wait for book 3! A gorgeous if torturous NA contemporary romance with aspects of growing up/finding oneself.
